Happy Holidays!
This is a most wonderful time of year… Christmas lights, music, boat
parades, fires on the beach, feasting, festivities, and the celebration
of the Christ child! It's so easy to be thankful and to find our self
in a spirit of giving. Choose to do so, and enjoy!
We'll be having our annual tree trimming party this Friday, December
5th to "bring in the season" at the BYC. It's great fun and a good way
for new members to start engaging in our seasonal celebration. Please
come at 6:30 to trim the tree and to enjoy the camaraderie. Bring a
dish as we will have a potluck!
The lighted boat parade will be coming up on Friday and Saturday the
19th and 20th. I'm still looking for a few people to help "Santa" in
accumulating and sorting out names to be called from the Santa ship.
Your help would be appreciated and rewarded with lots of fun and a boat
ride (if you're looking for an opportunity to join the parade without a
boat.)
It's easy to get excited about the forthcoming days but we also need to
be grateful to those that have made this last November one to remember.
Mona Lisa and Mike Ryan, with their committee hosted another one of
their "New Member's night" events with delectable hors d'oeuvre and a
venue for meeting this club's future leadership. Rich and Leslie Hunt,
and their committee presented a splendid Sunday morning breakfast in
honor of out veterans. Many thanks to the Ryans, the Hunts, and their
committees for a job well done. Your efforts are appreciated!
Merry Christmas from the Rosendale Family!
