First I would like to say I am sorry for not attending the Ora Bay Labor Day Cruise , Donna and I Flew in to Denver and drove to my Son-in Law and Daughters house located near Steamboat Springs, Colorado to help pack boxes and load a U-Haul of household goods. Driving a U-Haul through the mountains pulling a fully stuffed Ford Explorer on a dolly to Port Orchard and spending 30 hours behind a wheel was very painful... having your wife and 9 month old grand daughter with you PRICELESS. What a GREAT Salmon Bake !!! Thank You Chairman P/C Gary Carr and all those who helped make this a successful event. Welcome back to all members who are returning from their summer vacations I trust you all had a very relaxing Summer. Soon we will be saying goodbye to the BYC snow birds who will be leaving for there Winter homes. I would like to thank Jerry Sengstock for chairing the work for the Park Shelter; if you have not had a chance to see the shelter put this on your list. The electrical has been wired and the shingle siding is being installed. The members who gave time out of their summer to make this happen are: Rob Bruins, Dave Hagen, Dave Miller, John Adair, Paul Earsley, Ray Gorski, P/C Don Hardgrove, P/C Mike Dunn, P/C Bill Burwell, P/C Ron Morse, P/C Bill Rumbold, Pat Alexander, Jerry Althauser, Gary Clauson. Did I miss anyone? Most likely, and for this I apologize and do thank you for your time. Jerry is still looking for help so give him a call or stop down at the club. Some event dates coming up and please mark your calendar. The Halloween party on the 31st of October, Cruise to Bell Harbor 13-15 of November and the famous Wine Tasting / New Members Night on the 20th of November. All events and activities for your club are kept on the Home page online; please check this often for any changes and starting times. A huge thank you to Al Erlandsen who has stepped forward to fill the 1st year planning position on the Executive Committee. [J.D. Weiner was elected at the next Business Meeting for this position, ed.] Reminder that the October 5th, 2009 Dinner/Program meeting will be a "Dessert Pot Luck"... [starting at 1800, Program at 1830, Title: "Cardiac Protocols and Care in the Emergency Room"] Points to Ponder: I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle I think crime pays. The hours are good, you travel a lot. There are only two times when I drink beer, when I'm alone and when I'm with someone else. If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito In 1954 General Electric introduced colored kitchen appliances. Bye, bye white!
