Just a short note on the Officers' Cruise Inn. I want to thank the members for offering the use of their slips or boathouses for the weekend event. Reminder of a few upcoming events: Labor Day Cruise Sept 4-7 at Oro Bay, Salmon Bake Sept 13th and the Dry Land Cruise weekend of Sept 25th. Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board. Please remember to keep checking the BYC Home Page for all the activities happening at your club. The BYC big event "The Heavy Weather Race" will be soon upon us, and in the near future I will be holding the first meeting. I still need a Chair for Regatta for Power. The theme this year is "At the Sock Hop". This event is a great way to earn points, meet members and to try your skill at log racing itself. So please mark you calendars for November 12th-14th.
POINTS to PONDER Please note that letting fireworks off in the hotel guest rooms is strictly prohibited. Don't hate yourself in the morning -- sleep till noon. You can't have everything....where would you put it? A glow worm is never glum... Because, how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out of your bum? Seven out of ten people suffer from hemorrhoids.
