In October BYC and the contractor AMO Construction will start the whaler replacement on "A' Strings open moorage. This upgrade is estimated to be completed in three weeks. The cooperation of BYC members moored at the effected slips is crucial. The following action is required. All dock boxes must be emptied by 1 October. They will be moved as interference. The remaining actions are strongly recommended; it is advised that refrigerators be emptied and any other lequipment that could be damaged by prolonged power loss be secured. Ever effort will be made not to interrupt electrical services, but it is better to be prepared just in case. Boats will be moved in their slips about five feet. There is a chance the some boats may have to be relocated. Every effort will be made to notify the owner if this occurs to aid in the move. If the owner is not available care will be used in the relocation. The Float Committee will have slips available if a move becomes necessary. This action to improve "A" string can only be completed on time with the full effort of the BYC membership, particularly the members moored on "A" string. This is a work party evolution.
