Print VersionBREMERTON YACHT CLUB HEAVY WEATHER 2007Sunday will see the running of the 73rd Annual BYC Heavy Weather Navigation Contest. Contest day will begin with morning check-in for the contestants and observer assignment (openings are available for more volunteer observers). This year the course to be navigated will only be about 18 miles long and will allow for early finish times (before 1400 hours) for those wanting to return home on Sunday. Those folks with high energy levels are invited to continue their weekend fun with another dinner Sunday evening which will be followed by the race awards and live music for even more dancing pleasure. The finishing touch for the Heavy Weather Weekend comes Monday morning when a full breakfast will be available in the clubhouse; just the thing to ready you for your trip back home. For those arriving by boat, moorage will be available at BYC, as usual. For those desiring to view the "rebirth" of downtown Bremerton, moorage is available at the downtown public marina. Heavy Weather Weekend information, schedules and registration forms will be available on the BYC website at www.bremertonyachtclub.org . Mike Henry & Don Hardgrove |
