High School Sailing at BYC

(from the E-Committee Minutes, 8 March 2010) Youth Sailing- Captain Mike Knight reported that the initial plan this year was to have the Bremerton High School sailors used our sailboats here. That is not going to come to pass. He said that the good news is that the coaches at Central Kitsap High School will provide the nucleus for the regional High Schools sailing program whereby all the High School sailors will meet and sail out of Central Kitsap and as the program grows than Bremerton High School sailors will use our sailboats when they out grow the six boats that CK has. He said that they will probably not use our boats here. Captain Knight said that the good news is that High School Sailing is alive and well. He said that it is a pretty small foot print right now.
