Youth Sailing: BYC Summer Program 2003

14 July - 8 August

"Capt. Joe Payne has informed me that the Youth Sailing Program has concluded for the year. Nineteen youngsters graduated the Beginners Course and four graduated the Intermediate Course. Well done, Joe and to the many members and their spouses who gave of their time to make it happen. Hopefully, next year we will continue to see these numbers grow as they did this year. I can't think of a more wholesome summer endeavor for young people. Once again, well done everyone." (Commodore Bob Bachman)

"How come this is called the "mainsail" when we have only one sail?"

Under Mike Knight's watchful eye...

"Two legs and a boat!" The first lessons are taught during the "Righting Drill": By far the most popular activity when the temperatures are in the 90s.
