Junior Learn to Sail Camp
Session 1: July 27-31
Students, aged 8 through 17, learn basic sailboat handling skills forming the foundation for a lifetime of sailing.
Lessons are conducted by dedicated sailing instructors trained in first aid, CPR, water safety, and small boat handling skills.
Sailboats are Dewitt and Optimist Sailing Dinghies, Alphas, and Lasers.
Fee: $380 for 5 days of instruction.
10% off for families of BYC members or active Military.
Scholarships are available for families with financial need.
Registration Instructions for Parent or Guardian:
There will be several screens to let us know who you (parent or guardian) and your student(s) are.
1) Tell us how many students you are registering and the appropriate fee.
2) For “Who is registering for this event”, select “Not me, but I’m registering guests.”
3) For “People in My Registration”, first provide your contact information (under Yourself), then enter the names of each of the students registering (under Guests).
4) You will then be asked to answer questions for each registrant, first yourself, and then the student(s).

Registration cancellations will be accepted until Monday, July 6, 2026 at 11:00 PM
Cancellation Policy:
The camper’s parent/guardian must send an email notification to the BYC Junior Sailing Camp Director at sailingschool@bremertonyachtclub.org.
- At least 21 days prior to the start of the camp week – 100% refund will be issued.
- Between 15 and 21 days prior to the start of the camp week – 100% refund will be issued if we can fill the space. If we are unable to fill the space, no refund will be issued.
- Within 14 days of the start of and during the camp week, including if a student chooses not to attend – No refund will be issued.
Inclement Weather or Other Unforeseeable Conditions:
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseeable reasons, it may become necessary to cancel a sail camp day. We will contact you via email or a text message as soon as possible, but no later than 8 a.m. on the day of a sail camp. Please keep us updated with your latest email address and phone number. We do not provide refunds or replacement classes if class must be cancelled due to causes described above.
